Πραγματοποίηση Μουσικοχορευτικής Παράστασης Σχολής Τυφλών "Με Αγάπη και Φως"

Σημείωμα Αναπληρώτριας Διευθύντριας της Σχολής Τυφλών κ. Κίκας Κασίνη

Το υπέροχο μουσικοχορευτικό συναπάντημα της Σχολής Τυφλών με άλλους σημαντικούς καλλιτέχνες από Ελλάδα, Κύπρο και Παλαιστίνη πήρε μορφή και έφτασε στο τέλος του με πολύ μεγάλη επιτυχία. Συγχαίρω όλους τους συντελεστές της εκδήλωσης που έδωσαν την ψυχή τους και αφιέρωσαν άπλετο χρόνο για να μετουσιωθεί το όραμα τους σε ονειρική παράσταση. Εύχομαι πάντα επιτυχίες στον καθένα ξεχωριστά και να υπάρξει μελλοντική συνεργασία πολύ σύντομα.

Η 23η Μαΐου αναμφίβολα θα είναι μια μέρα που θα την θυμάμαι για πάντα, όχι μόνο εγώ, αλλά και όλος ο κόσμος που ήρθε να παρακολουθήσει την Μουσικόχορευτική Παράσταση "Με Αγάπη και Φως" που είχε διοργανώσει η Σχολή Τυφλών τον περασμένο Μάιο στο Δημοτικό Θέατρο Στροβόλου. Μια εκδήλωση γεμάτη συναισθήματα και επαγγελματισμό. Μια εκδήλωση πλημμυρισμένη από το Φως της Αγάπης που έβγαινε καθάρια από το τραγούδι, τις μελωδίες και τον χορό των μαθητών της Σχολής Τυφλών και όλων των συμμετεχόντων. Νιώθω πραγματικά πολύ ευλογημένη για τις στιγμές που περάσαμε κατά την διάρκεια των προβών, αλλά και για τις στιγμές που είχαμε βιώσει όλοι μαζί επί σκηνής. Σας ευχαριστώ από καρδιάς όλους εσάς, που ζήσαμε μαζί αυτή την όμορφη εμπειρία. Πραγματικά ευγνώμων για την αγάπη σας!

Σημείωμα Mr. Maher Shawamreh

Five human senses of sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell; an ongoing research that I initiated many years ago.

Losing one of the senses is not a simple matter. The loss of one can reinforce and exaggerate the remaining ones.

In the preceding years, I admittedly had a poor ability to capture the significance of lacking one of the human senses. Through my years of experience and research I can now confidently say that I am able to start realizing the meaning of this.

I started my research of the human senses in 1998 with one main aim- to learn, educate and transfer my skills to the rest of the world.

Undoubtedly a connection exists between the language and one’s soul. A soul can be penetrated only if one is able to understand its language. The direct contact with one’s soul gives a whole different meaning to life. It emphasizes the fact that whilst the body resides on earth, the soul is something way greater than this universe, it fuels the body with energy, it strengths it when it is weak.

One of my main mottos in life is captured clearly in a sentence that I shorten by saying: The body is the earth and the soul is the divine force that wonders freely and endlessly in the space surrounding it.

This is further conveyed through the power of dancing and it is particularly true in people with disabilities. The power of the spirit connected with one’s deepest thoughts and feelings allows absolute freedom of the soul through the expression of dancing.

This applies to everyone with all kinds of disabilities such as hearing impairment, mental disorders, motor disabilities, learning difficulties, speech disorders, autism and individuals with multiple disabilities.

Even though we are all different in shape, colour and feelings, these are what make us all human beings. We are all just bodies that make up the shape of the earth with our unique beauty and individual characteristics.

The energy of the soul is the driving force that fulfils each person’s dreams. It essentially helps individuals reach the furthest places they wish to do so. In fact, there are more than 7000 languages in the universe but only the language of the soul is the one talked and understood by everyone in the universe. It is the only common language for everyone with disabilities.

It is without doubt that through my interactions that I recently had with the students at St Barnabas School For The Blind in Cyprus, I have further discovered and explored the strength of my soul. Each and every individual soul has strongly communicated with my soul giving a whole new meaning to my life. This was further experienced both by the participants during the performance and also by the audience.

The strength of the spirits of our wonderful students and teachers made it possible for this spectacular performance to be brought to life.
